We're hiring!  Check out our seasonal openings.

Director

October 18, 2002 – present
Term Expires on 5/03/2022

Dale Leach lived and breathed water long before his tenure on the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District board of directors. He joined the board in 2002 to serve his community and to be part of an organization that provides tap holders with the highest quality water supply in Northern Colorado. Dale has extensive experience with a variety of water-related boards throughout the region and has been involved in numerous water court change cases.

Having spent over 40 years in the intricacies of water-related issues, Dale specializes in water rights, water systems management, and optimization. He originally became interested in the topic through his agricultural experience. He has managed and operated irrigated farms ranging from 200 to 1,200 acres over the last 25 years in Larimer and Weld counties. Currently, he is the CEO and senior water right specialist for Telesto, an environmental engineering and consulting firm in Fort Collins. His personal motto is to keep advancing, something he hopes to help FCLWD with as well.

Dale is originally from Nebraska but has been in Colorado for most of his life, living in Fort Collins for 46 years. Having grown up on a farm, Dale believes that if you’re not sleeping then you should be working. When he’s not working or talking about water rights, he enjoys spending time outside, bow hunting and traveling internationally.
