William (Bill) Dieterich was elected as a member of the board in 2016 and started as treasurer in 2018. Bill has extensive experience in systems engineering, project management, product, and service development, consulting and training with Fortune 500 companies. His experience spans private and public sectors in technology development and marketing for companies big and small, including 22 years at Hewlett-Packard and 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. After a long tenure with large companies, Bill was looking for an opportunity to utilize his experience and knowledge to help his community, which he found in the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District board of directors.

Currently, Bill is the executive director for SAGE, a Northern Colorado advisory network that mentors entrepreneurs. He is also a senior instructor for Duke University’s Corporate Education Program where he educates Fortune 500 companies on advanced project management and organizational development. As a former Eagle Scout, his motto professionally and personally is, be prepared.

Bill grew up in New York City before moving to Colorado. He relocated to Fort Collins in 1992 where he enjoys biking and hiking. He also enjoys spending time with his three grandchildren and traveling to destinations off the beaten path such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
