We all want a beautiful yard to enjoy during the spring and summer months. But having a perfectly landscaped yard doesn’t mean you need to crank up the sprinklers and see a spike in your water usage. Traditional grass is a water guzzler and irrigation is often one of the main reasons your water costs rise as the weather gets warmer. Garden in A Box by Resource Central makes it quick and easy to swap out your grass for a beautiful, low-water oasis tailor-made for Colorado yards that helps you to use less water on your landscaping.
As part of our water conservation efforts, Fort Collins-Loveland Water District customers are now eligible to receive a one-time, $25 bill credit* when you purchase a Garden In A Box through Resource Central between March 1, 2024 and October 31, 2024.
You’ll order your garden directly through Resource Central’s website. The program offers two times to purchase gardens: Pre-order in March for pickup and planting in May and June OR pre-order in June for pickup and planting in August and September.
TIP: Gardens are limited and have historically sold out. We recommend joining Resource Central’s Interest List for pre-order updates.
After placing your order through Resource Central, email a receipt of your purchase to billing@fclwd.com no later than 11/30/2024. Please include your name and service address.
After processing your receipt, we will apply a $25 bill credit to your account within 30 days of receipt of documentation that meets our criteria.
Resource Central will notify you when your garden is available for pickup. When you get home, plant and mulch your Garden In A Box. After the first year, dial back the water and begin saving water and money!

* Garden In A Box bill credits are limited to ONE per customer/account number no matter the number of Gardens ordered or submitted for bill credit. You must be a Fort Collins-Loveland Water District customer to qualify. Orders must be made between March 1, 2024 and October 31, 2024 to be eligible. Receipts must be submitted to no later than November 30, 2024. Bill credits will be applied to a customer’s account within 30 days of receipt of documentation that meets the above criteria.
