Rates and Fees

Rates and Fees

At Fort Collins-Loveland Water District (FCLWD), our rates are set through a careful, data-driven process focused on covering the costs of maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure. FCLWD does not profit from rate increases. Every dollar collected supports our ongoing operations and ensures we can continue providing reliable, high-quality water to our customers. We aim to keep base rates affordable while reflecting the costs of water usage through our tiered rate structure, which ensures fair pricing based on consumption.

As a Title 32 Special District, we are dedicated to transparency. Our rates are reviewed annually, based on independent studies that evaluate our operational and infrastructure needs, ensuring that rate changes directly support our mission of reliable water delivery and system sustainability.

What’s Included in Your Rate:

  • Base Rate: All customers pay this fixed monthly fee, regardless of usage.
  • Tiered Rates: Charges increase with higher water usage. The more water you use beyond certain thresholds, the more you pay.

Please call the FCLWD office if you are not sure whether you are served using “FCLWD water” or “City of Fort Collins IGA service area.” The determining factor is whether you (or the builder) dedicated water rights to the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District or City of Fort Collins at the time of construction.
